Liquid Stuns Spirit With Comeback at BLAST Fall Final 2024

As a seasoned CS2 fan with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the Team Liquid vs. Team Spirit match at the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 was nothing short of electrifying! I’ve seen countless matches, but this one truly stood out.

At the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 in Group B’s opening game, Vitality crushed Astralis and cadiaN’s contentious introduction, with an impressive 13-0 map victory. Frankly, I didn’t anticipate that the Team Liquid vs. Team Spirit encounter would match that intensity…but it surpassed my expectations!

As we approach the competition, Team Spirit was positioned fourth in the rankings, with their outstanding player Danil “Donk” Kryshkovets performing at peak ability. On the other hand, Team Liquid found themselves ranked eighth, but I pointed out in our fantasy picks that they might be underestimated based on their current position. This is particularly true given the rapid adaptation of young AWPer Roland “Ultimate” Tomkowiak to top-tier CS:2 esports and the impressive tactical calls made by Canadian IGL, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken.

On Dust2, it was widely believed that Team Spirit would overwhelmingly prevail. True to this belief, during their CT side on the initial map, Team Spirit established a significant advantage (9-3). In the subsequent second half, a swift 4-0 by Team Spirit on their T side resulted in a convincing victory with an impressive 13-3 performance.

Witness Danil “Donk” Kryshkovets scoring four eliminations during the 16th round, stylishly wrapping up Dust2.

On the map selection of Nuke by Team Spirit, Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov’s team didn’t have things go their way as they trailed 8-4 in the first half (since they were on the attacking side). However, it’s important to note that when the second half started and they switched to the defending side, Team Spirit managed to narrow the score gap.

Team Liquid managed to keep pace on their attacking side of Map Nuke, claiming five rounds and securing a narrow 13-11 win, necessitating a third map in the series. In an intense situation during the 24th round, Canadian marksman Keith “NAF” Markovic executed a remarkable 3v1 clutch to seal the victory. You can witness this thrilling moment below.

On the pivotal map, Anubis, Team Liquid jumped ahead early during the CT side, accumulating a 8-4 lead by halftime.

Initially, Team Spirit struggled, but they began to fight back steadily, narrowing the score difference gradually. Despite Team Spirit’s efforts to gain an advantage, Team Liquid remained calm under intense pressure and secured another impressive victory. This time, it was Team Liquid’s Latvian player, Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis, who displayed a remarkable 3-on-1 clutch, preventing the match from going into overtime.
