The live-action Spider-Man Noir series was given the green light in May for production. Rodriguez will join star Nicolas Cage, as well as regulars Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, and Jack Huston in this new series.
According to the given title summary, the show “recounts the tale of a worn-out and hard-luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York City. Due to circumstances, he must confront his past as the city’s sole superhero.
Previously featured on Amazon’s “Swarm,” Rodriguez has made a name for herself in various shows such as “Acapulco,” “Shining Girls” on Apple TV+, “Power Book IV: Force” from Starz, and “The Big Leap” on Fox. Up next, she will star in the upcoming Starz drama series “The Hunting Wives.

According to earlier news, “Spider-Noir” will make its domestic premiere on MGM+’s traditional broadcast channel and later be available worldwide on Amazon Prime Video. This exciting series has been created by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, who will also take on the roles of co-showrunners and executive producers. They collaborated with the team behind “Into the Spider-Verse,” which includes Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, all of whom will also serve as executive producers. Harry Bradbeer will direct the first two episodes and also executive produce. Pascal will executive produce through Pascal Pictures, while Lord and Miller will do so via Lord Miller. Aditya Sood and Dan Shear of Lord Miller are also on board as executive producers. “Spider-Noir” is being produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, with Lord Miller currently under an overall deal at Sony.
