As a gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Beyond Galaxyland has piqued my interest like few games have in recent years. Today, United Label and developer Sam Enright make available the game titled “Beyond Galaxyland” on platforms such as PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers via Steam.

You’ll find the launch trailer further down, complemented by insights from creator Sam Enright and United Label’s Senior Vice President Tom O’Connor.

Today, United Label, the creative hub for immersive and carefully designed video games by CI Games, has launched “Beyond Galaxyland.” Developed by Sam ‘EnrightBeats’ Enright, a music producer turned game developer based in Chicago, this title is now accessible on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The story unfolds within the titled Galaxyland, where we find Doug, a high school student, and his pet guinea pig Boom Boom, who are suddenly transported to a zoo-like assortment of planets mere seconds before Earth is destroyed by an impending universal destroyer called ‘The End’. As Doug navigates this interstellar journey, visiting various unique planets within Galaxyland, he encounters a motley crew of both familiar and new companions in their valiant mission to uncover the truth about the apocalypse that befell Earth and possibly reverse it.

Originally conceived by Enright as a solo endeavor fueled by passion, “Beyond Galaxyland” refreshes the cherished retro RPG feel with an enticing blend of traditional platforming and puzzle-solving, turn-based combats, epic boss encounters, and a unique capture/summon system. This system empowers Doug to deploy creatures he’s fought earlier in subsequent battles.

Sam Enright, creator of Beyond Galaxyland, said: “It has been an incredible, personal journey for me over the past six years – and I cannot believe that Doug and Boom Boom’s story is finally out there for people to enjoy. It’s a heartfelt homage to some of the best childhood memories I have, of playing seminal RPGs like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VII and watching iconic sci-fi like Star Wars and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I really hope people enjoy this story set across the stars, and they find success in helping get Doug back home to a saved Earth.”

Tom O’Connor, United Label’s Senior Vice President of Development, commented: “Collaborating with Sam to bring his vision for ‘Beyond Galaxydland’ to life has been an esteemed privilege for everyone at our company. This game builds upon the foundations laid by industry titans, offering a captivating and enjoyable experience for players, whether they’re seasoned genre enthusiasts like Sam or newcomers eager to explore adventure RPGs.
