Anya Taylor-Joy Wants To Be In Live-Action Frozen Movie, Only It Hasn't Been Announced

As a devoted Disney enthusiast who has grown up watching their timeless classics, I wholeheartedly support Anya Taylor-Joy‘s dream of portraying Elsa in a potential live-action adaptation of Frozen. Her passion for the role, combined with her versatility as an actress and her enthusiasm for musicals, makes her an ideal candidate to bring Elsa’s icy magic to life on the big screen.

In a recent interview, when asked about her ideal Disney character, Anya Taylor-Joy expressed her strong desire for the opportunity to portray Elsa if Disney were to create a live-action version of Frozen. She shared that she would eagerly embrace the role, as it offers the allure of wielding magical ice powers.

She shared with Vogue Hong Kong (through Entertainment Weekly) that Frozen seems incredibly exciting. She imagined it would be thrilling to emit ice from your hands, just like Elsa’s magical talent. Plus, you’d undoubtedly be the star at every child’s birthday party. Since her siblings now have kids, she dreams of them being able to boast, “My auntie is Elsa.” That thought is quite cool.

As a gamer putting on my imaginative hat, I’d say: “I’m totally hooked on taking on challenges head-on, and the prospect of diving into the role of Elsa, with its triple threat of singing, dancing, and acting, is like discovering a hidden level in a game I can’t get enough of. It’s not about reaching the peak, it’s about the climb itself – the journey to master those skills would be an exhilarating adventure!”

As a dedicated fan, I must clarify that Disney hasn’t officially announced a live-action version of Frozen yet. However, given their track record, it’s not entirely unimaginable! In recent times, they’ve successfully brought to life the tales of Mulan, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast, among others, in the realm of live-action. So, who knows? Maybe Frozen could be next!

Although a live-action version of Frozen hasn’t been announced yet, Disney has plans to produce Frozen 3 and Frozen 4, as confirmed in 2023. Details about these sequels are scarce at the moment.

Back in 2013, the first Frozen movie made a massive impact and turned into an undeniable sensation, with the Academy Award-winning song “Let It Go” contributing significantly to its success. In 2019, the sequel, titled Frozen II, hit the screens. The voice actors for Anna and Elsa in this series are Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel respectively.

In the latest blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road, Taylor-Joy took on the lead role of Imperator Furiosa. Currently, she has several projects in development, such as The Gorge directed by Doctor Strange’s Scott Derrickson and the movie Sacrifice featuring Brendan Fraser, Chris Evans, and Salma Hayek.
