Hugh Jackman Knocked Out Of Guiness World Record Book By Deadpool And Wolverine Co-star

As a lifelong Marvel enthusiast and someone who has witnessed the evolution of these iconic characters since their inception, I must say, seeing Wesley Snipes reprise his role as Blade after all these years is nothing short of exhilarating! The man truly embodies the spirit of the Daywalker, and it’s a testament to his talent that he has held on to this record for the longest-running Marvel character.

Deadpool and Wolverine are bringing in big bucks at the box office due to aggressive promotion by Marvel since they’re their only release of the year. The movie features Hugh Jackman playing Wolverine for the 10th time, which may be his final appearance – this time it looks like he means it. However, Jackman no longer holds the Guinness World Record for the longest career as a Marvel character.

⚠️ Attention: This post may reveal details about a surprise character appearing in both Deadpool and Wolverine.

In the thrilling cinematic experience I recently watched, I found myself cheering as Laura Kinney (Daphne Keen) brought together a band of unlikely allies from the Marvel universe. These included Blade, Elektra, and the Fantastic Four, with iconic actors like Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Garner, and Chris Evans stepping back into their familiar roles. Interestingly, Snipes’ return sets a new milestone, making him the Marvel movie veteran with the longest career to date.

Initially, Hugh Jackman donned the Wolverine role in the 2000’s X-Men, while Denzel Washington Snipes appeared as Blade two years earlier in 1998. Notably, Jackman surpassed his X-Men colleague Patrick Stewart with a cameo in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness more recently.

On Instagram, Ryan Reynolds acknowledged Snipes’ addition to the cast and affectionately called him “Marvel Paterfamilias.”

Additionally, it’s worth noting that Snipes set a unique record by waiting nearly two decades to reprise his role in Marvel films. His last portrayal of the character was in the 2004 release, “Blade: Trinity.”

It should be noted that Kevin Conroy is still the record holder over at DC with 32 years as Bruce Wayne/Batman as he voiced the character for a final time with the animated movie Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths, Part 3.
