Where Is Xur Today? (July 19-23) Destiny 2 Exotic Items And Xur Location Guide

As a seasoned Guardian and frequent visitor to the Tower, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia whenever I think about Xur, the enigmatic Agent of the Nine. His mysterious demeanor and cryptic offerings have been a staple of my Destiny 2 experience since the early days.

The excitement level is rising in Destiny 2 as Episode Echoes: Act 2 drops, and Xur is here with an all-new assortment of Exotic armor and legendary-class equipment up for grabs. Take a peek at the new Aberrant Action sidearm, complete with rocket assistance, and discover its ideal god-roll while you’re browsing through Xur’s wares. Here is where Xur can be found this weekend and what he’s offering for sale.

Xur is providing the catalysts for the Exotic weapons “Traveler’s Chosen” and “Sunshot,” while Hunters can obtain the armor piece “Gemini Jester,” Titans can collect “Dunemarchers,” and Warlocks can purchase “Astrocyte Verse.”

Xur Location

Begin at the Tower and make a turn to the right past Banshee-44. Descend the stairs and walk through the hallway. Reach the Bazaar and veer right into the nearby alleyway. Xur will be waiting for you in his designated spot, eager to sell his newest items if you carry enough Strange Coins. For instructions on obtaining Strange Coins, refer to our guide. This process involves performing certain rituals to earn them.

Exotic Armor

Gemini Jester (Exotic Hunter leg armor)

The exotic trousers are ideal for PvP situations due to their Misdirection perk that confuses adversaries. When you dodge, it disorients surrounding enemies, taking away their radar temporarily. This creates an excellent opportunity for a swift elimination. However, these Exotics come with disappointingly poor stats. Resilience, recovery, and discipline fall between average and extremely low.

Dunemarchers (Exotic Titan leg armor)

Using Dunemarchers, your Titan will gain a faster running speed and accumulate a static charge while moving. Once you strike an enemy with melee after this charge has built up, the charge unleashes additional damage. This is particularly effective for managing crowds in PvE, and the stats for resilience, recovery, and discipline are impressive. Additionally, your Titan will receive a boost in strength. If you have any spare Strange Coins, consider obtaining these.

Astrocyte Verse (Exotic Warlock helmet)

For the Warlock aiming to dodge in and out of peril, the Astrocyte Verse Exotic allows for longer and more frequent teleports during the Nova Warp Super. Targets close by become unstable, and while your Super is engaged, utilizing the ability doesn’t deplete any Super energy. The stats on this particular roll are mediocre with mobility taking a significant hit. Historically, we have encountered worse as well as better versions of this Exotic. Therefore, it could be worth considering if your current Astrocyte Verse has inferior stats.

Traveler’s Chosen

As a gamer, I can explain it like this: Each time I throw a grenade, a portion of ammo gets added back to my current weapon’s magazine. Plus, the weapon’s damage type transforms to mimic that of the grenade until I put it away.

Surplus: Increases handling, reload speed, and stability for each fully charged ability.

Xur now operates his business differently in The Final Shape. He offers two of each week’s rotating selection of Exotic weapon catalysts for sale. These catalysts will include older ones obtained through random drops before The Witch Queen expansion. However, he won’t stock those from quests, Exotic missions, Season Pass Exotics, campaign Exotics, preorder bonuses, raids, or dungeons.

Xur offers three randomly selected Exotic weapons besides Hawkmoon for purchase. He continues to stock Legendary armor and weapons, along with engrams capable of dropping any item from those respective pools at random. Like other merchants, Xur now has a reputation system: the more you spend, the greater the reputation rewards, including an Exotic Cipher following each rank reset.

Xur’s loyalty rewards begin when you accumulate 47 Strange Coins. Subsequently, you receive a “Strange Favor” boost which lasts for eleven days. You can accumulate up to three of these boosts, meaning one per week, increasing your chances of gaining extra Strange Coins from activities that dispense the currency. Xur makes an appearance in Destiny 2 every weekend, commencing with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on Fridays.
