Surprise! Overwatch 2 Is Getting An Adorable New Hero And She's Playable This Weekend

As a long-time Overwatch fan and avid player since its release, I am beyond excited for the latest addition to Blizzard’s roster: Juno, the out-of-this-world healer. With months of anticipation building up around this new character, it feels surreal that we are finally on the brink of having her join us in the game.

After several months of hints about a new Overwatch character with a space background, Blizzard has officially revealed the upcoming addition to their hit first-person shooter game: Juno.

The studio announced some exciting news about the new support hero, Juno, through a trailer displaying her diverse abilities which primarily revolve around mobility and distant healing. Although Juno won’t be officially available in Overwatch 2 until Season 12 starts on August 20th, enthusiastic gamers have the opportunity to test out this intergalactic healer during the hero trial taking place over the weekend.

Starting on Friday, June 19, and continuing through Sunday, June 21, Juno, the new support hero in Blizzard’s games, will be accessible to players on all platforms. She can be used across various game modes with the exception of Competitive Play. Additionally, there is a unique No Limits mode where every player can try out Juno simultaneously.

According to the debut trailer, it appears that Juno’s main roles will be healing and enhancing mobility for her team. Equipped with a Mediblaster that functions similarly to an assault rifle, she can both heal allies and eliminate opponents. Furthermore, she can summon Pulsar Torpedos to clear paths and boost the abilities of her teammates. With her jetpack and rocket boots, Juno boasts impressive vertical mobility, enabling her to traverse maps swiftly and grant her allies speed bonuses. Lastly, Juno’s Ultimate skill lets her connect with a satellite for an Orbital Strike on designated areas, although the specifics of this attack remain uncertain at present. All in all, Juno seems like a powerful addition to the team with a design that has me genuinely excited–pun intended.

As a long-time fan of Overwatch, I’ve been eagerly following every rumor and hint dropped by Blizzard regarding their new character. And let me tell you, this latest one has really got me excited! You see, I’ve always had a soft spot for the lore behind each hero in the game, and the recent discovery of a spacecraft escape pod on Dorado map piqued my curiosity.

During this interval, players have the opportunity to join Overwatch 2’s Transformers event happening until July 22. This exciting event showcases skins inspired by three Autobot heroes: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Arcee. Following this, Overwatch 2’s Season 12 commences on August 20.
