As a seasoned traveler and avid fan of 2D pixel action RPGs, I am beyond excited for HYKE: Northern Lights! The post-apocalyptic world, the diverse cast of witches, and the talented team behind it all make this game a must-play.
As a passionate gamer here, I’m super excited to share that a new 2D pixel action RPG titled HYKE: Northern Light(s) is coming our way from the creative minds at Blast Edge Games and published by the powerhouse duo of Akatsuki Games & Aniplex! Unfortunately, they haven’t disclosed the platforms it will be launching on or even a release date yet. But hey, I’m keeping my fingers crossed and can hardly wait to dive into this fresh gaming experience!
Characters assume the role of a witch named Hyke, who traverses the globe in pursuit of her mother’s footsteps across a post-apocalyptic landscape scarred by the aftermath of a war between humans and witches. Along her journey, Hyke encounters diverse witches who join her as the narrative unfolds; each witch brings a unique gameplay style, and players have the flexibility to switch between companions at their leisure.
The narrative of Hyke unfolds as she comes across a mysterious woman known as Metheos within the uncharted territories referred to as the Forbidden Lands.
Hiroaki Iwano, who had experience as an Assistant Producer on the “Chaos Ring” series and served as the producer for the “Million Arthur” series at Square Enix until 2019, is now responsible for producing this title.
In the case of HYKE: Northern Lights, Orie serves as the Character Designer, while Shiros (or Setamo) handles the Dot Art Design role.
The anime “Northern Lights” will have its dialogues spoken in Japanese, yet it will offer subtitles in various languages such as Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Dutch, and Portuguese.

Treasured possessions she carries with her are the automobile, transistor radio, and camera, gifts bestowed upon her by her father. Well-versed in travel and adept at camping, she has weathered many an adventure.

A witch who travels with Hyke. She carries Rabby, a plushie backpack that contains mana.
Fall Out
CV: Manaka Iwami
A sorceress safeguarding ancient runes hidden within the dense Crimson Forest. She communicates intuitively with flora, fauna, and even mute creatures, harnessing their energies to weave magic.
Mother Brain
CV: Yumiri Hanamori
A sorceress safeguarding ancient runes buried beneath a secluded, tropical island. Employing enchanted firearms and drones, she combats adversaries in a manner devoid of conventional magical techniques.

CV: Fairouz Ai
A guardian of a rune, nestled deep within an expansive wilderness, this enigmatic figure is not typically human or witch-like in her moral compass. Frequently encountering difficulties when trying to bridge the communication gap between her and other beings.
